The tint of the photograph has definitely given character to it. But my suggestion is to tone the red and the green tint to give back the colour of the sea. The original colour may very well be brilliant and just in need of a slight adjustment. Manipulating it too much takes away the raw quality of the photo. As it is, it is hard to differentiate the sea from the sand.
Babies are said to be the hardest models to work with but they also say children aren't easy too. The children in the photo do bring a bit of life into the photo but perhaps waiting for them to do something of purpose might bring a bit of synchronisation into the photo? Right now, it is hard to determine what they are doing and the reason for them being in the photo is unclear. You might want to capture a photo while they are playing with sand together or when they are throwing pebbles into the sea. Just biding your time to take a photo might make the biggest difference in the world. It could give a picture that 'awww' factor.
Overall this is a lovely scenery and a heartfelt photo.
